it turns out that humans are not the only ones inhabiting the known universe. On January seventh, two thousand thirty three, a spaceship sent from earth to explore a nearby planet was surprised to find a spaceship populated by extraterrestrials near the planets orbit. In a state of shock, the crew of the ship ignored all orders and borded the alien ship. To their surprise, upon being face to face with the aliens, not a weapon was raised, not a word was said. On January seventh, two thousand thirty three, Liccill Morrison of Portia, Daw-Koi and their wife, Anastasia Morrison of Scotland, Earth, embraced for the first time.

According to means of communication established after years of cultural exchange and work from both peoples, it was discovered that humans and gnomes (as they have elected to name themselves) were the first two alien species to have established contact with each other. However, due to the advances of technology thanks to the gnomes scientists, more and more have been found almost every two years.

What has been dubbed "the Inter-Planetary Cultural Preservation Organization", or I.P.C.P.O. has established a chatroom style communications platform due to the dificulty of space travel and the surmountable cost of it. It is readily available to any species capable of communication that is keyed in on general internet and intercultural etiquette.

While communication efforts have been extremely peaceful (surprisingly enough) many are still working out the kinks of how to aproach coexistance with *multiple entire other species* who have developed in *similar but extremely diferent cultural ways*
